CA-34 is home to one of the largest immigrant populations in the country — and our district's strength is rooted in the diversity, resilience, and contributions of immigrant families. Angela is the daughter of a deportee, born before ICE existed, and she has seen what family separation does to a household.

A Pathway to Citizenship for All

• A pathway for DACA recipients, TPS holders, and essential workers

• Protections against arbitrary deportations and permanent family separation

• Legislative solutions ending reliance on outdated, punitive immigration quotas
  

Protecting Mixed-Status Families and Expanding Access to Services

• Full access to essential social services for mixed-status households — healthcare, housing support, pandemic relief

• Ending discriminatory policies that exclude immigrants from federally funded programs

• Expanding eligibility for driver's licenses, in-state tuition, and other state-level supports regardless of status

• Federal protections against ICE surveillance in sensitive locations like schools, hospitals, and courthouses
  

Investing in Legal Aid and Community Integration

• Legal representation in immigration court, especially for asylum seekers and unaccompanied minors

• Community integration programs: ESL classes, workforce development, civic engagement
